As an arena caretaker at Halmstad Arena, no day is the same.

You play an important role in creating safe and well-functioning environments for training, matches, and events. We are now looking for someone who enjoys varied tasks, has a service-oriented approach, and values responsibility and teamwork.

Your responsibilities

As a part-time arena caretaker with us, you will have a varied job where you help ensure that the arena functions in everyday life and before events. The tasks vary and may include:

• maintaining the ice and flooding it
• preparing the arena for training and matches
• performing basic cleaning and keeping order in the facilities
• handling fault reports
• assisting visitors, clubs, and organizers on-site
• contributing to making the arena a safe and secure environment
• laying and removing temporary flooring
• helping with preparations for events, such as concerts

You will receive an introduction and internal training in what is needed to perform the job well and safely.

Your qualifications

To work as an arena caretaker, you need to have completed your high school education and be able to express yourself well in Swedish, both verbally and in writing. You should have good computer skills and be comfortable using digital systems in your daily work. Previous experience as an arena caretaker and experience operating an ice machine, which is an important part of the job, is considered an advantage. It is also beneficial if you already have a forklift license.

As a person, you are proactive and take responsibility for your tasks. You find it easy to collaborate with others and contribute to a good atmosphere in the workgroup. Since the role involves a lot of contact with visitors, clubs, and organizers, you are service-oriented and have a pleasant and professional demeanor. You can easily adapt and contribute where the business needs it most. You enjoy varied tasks and working hours and can handle situations where the pace is high without losing focus or quality in your work.

Additional information

As a part-time arena caretaker, you will work irregular hours, including daytime, evening, and weekend work. Part-time employment means that you step in and work as needed, when it suits you. You will not have a fixed schedule.
